We're your neighbors.
Pflugerville Pfamilies Pfirst is a nonpartisan civic organization built on a simple idea: when neighbors know each other, good things happen.
Why we exist
Pflugerville is growing fast, and a lot of the people who live here have never met. PPP exists to change that. We're the picnic on Memorial Day. The lunch club that meets at a different restaurant every month. The walking group that loops Lake Pflugerville on Saturday mornings. The campfire on a fall weekend. The book club, the gamers, the gardeners, the parents whose kids became friends because their parents finally met.
When a town gets to know itself, the rest follows. Neighbors who recognize each other watch out for each other. Families who share weekends build the kind of memories that make a place feel like home. And when something big comes up at City Hall, a town that already knows itself can show up together, ask good questions, and be heard.
That's our work. The community comes pfirst. Everything else grows from there.
We hold these truths to be self-evident: that governments, to ensure prosperity and opportunity for pfuture generations, must strengthen and support the people who form the pfoundation of our community.
What we believe
Three things, basically:
- Strong community. Neighbors who know each other look out for each other. Our clubs, picnics, and monthly meetings exist to build those connections.
- Responsible local government. We advocate for keeping Pflugerville affordable, with a focus on core city services like roads, water, public safety, and parks.
- Pfamilies pfirst. Every policy question gets the same test: does it help Pflugerville pfamilies thrive? Does it keep this a place where the next generation has opportunity?
Why we're nonpartisan
This is non-negotiable for us. PPP is deliberately and consciously separate from any national party or ideology. We welcome members and leaders regardless of partisan affiliation, or lack of one. The only litmus test is: do you support our philosophy of strong community, responsible local government, and putting pfamilies pfirst?
Local issues like water rates, road conditions, park hours, and public safety affect everyone. They shouldn't be filtered through national politics, and we don't.
How we use our dues
Membership dues are modest, $20 a year, and they go entirely toward operating costs: meeting space, event supplies, the website, and printed materials. We don't pay salaries. Board members serve without compensation.
Larger expenses, like sponsoring a candidate forum or a major community event, are funded through targeted fundraising and sponsorships, not dues.
Ready to be part of it?
Membership is open to anyone 18 or over who supports our mission. Annual dues are $20, and applications are reviewed by our Membership Committee.
